Publishing rules

First: Submission and Responsibility

  1. Submission Method: Manuscripts must be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief via the journal's online submission system or official email. The journal is under no obligation to return unaccepted or unpublished manuscripts.
  2. Author Liability: The author(s) bear(s) full responsibility for the manuscript's content, findings, and the integrity of citations. The journal assumes no legal or scientific liability in this regard.
  3. Originality: Manuscripts must not have been previously published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere. The work must represent a novel scientific or applied contribution aligned with the university's disciplines and the journal's scope.

Second: Originality and Publication Ethics

  1. Academic Integrity: Authors must strictly adhere to established academic research principles regarding preparation, citation, presentation, as well as linguistic and methodological integrity.
  2. Conflicts of Interest: All parties must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and sources of funding (if applicable).
  3. Ethical Approvals: Research involving human or animal subjects is subject to applicable ethical policies. An ethical approval letter must be attached upon submission.

Third: Journal Scope and Languages of Publication

  1. Scope: The journal welcomes rigorous, objective, and methodologically sound scientific research, including coverage of scientific conferences and technical reviews.
  2. Languages: The journal publishes in both Arabic and English, provided that linguistic accuracy and terminological consistency are maintained.

Fourth: Peer Review and Decision Procedures

  1. Peer Review: All manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. The Editorial Board reserves the right to desk-reject manuscripts that fall outside the journal's scope or fail to meet baseline quality standards.
  2. Review Timeline: The Editorial Board aims to issue an initial decision within three months from the date of a valid and complete submission.
  3. Acceptance: Upon acceptance, an acceptance letter is sent to the corresponding author, accompanied by instructions for final revisions prior to typesetting and publication.

Fifth: Submission Requirements

  1. Required Files: Upon submission, authors must provide the following:

    • An electronic copy of the manuscript in Word and PDF formats (a hard copy may be requested if necessary).
    • A brief Curriculum Vitae (CV) for each author, including contact information.
    • In the case of multiple authors, a designated corresponding author must be identified along with their primary contact details.
    • Any supporting documentation: ethical approvals, funding/conflict of interest disclosures, and supplementary materials (if applicable).

Sixth: Page Limits and Title Page Structure

  1. Page Limits: Authors should observe the following recommended page limits based on their discipline:

    • Theoretical disciplines: Maximum of 30 pages.
    • Applied/Medical disciplines: Maximum of 20 pages.
  2. Title Page Elements: The first page must include the manuscript title, authors' names, affiliations, contact information, an abstract (150–250 words), and keywords (5–7) in both Arabic and English.

Seventh: Formatting and Technical Layout

  1. Document Setup: Manuscripts must be formatted on A4 paper with standard margins and appropriate line spacing (1.15–1.5).
  2. Typography:

    • For Arabic: Traditional Arabic or Arial (Body text: 12–13 pt; Headings: 14–16 pt, bold).
    • For English: Times New Roman or Calibri (Body text: 12 pt; Headings: 14–16 pt, bold).
  3. Headings and Objects: Headings should be numbered hierarchically (e.g., 1, 1.1, 1.1.1). Figures and tables must be numbered sequentially according to their appearance, featuring comprehensive titles and source citations where applicable.
  4. Figures and Images: Images and figures must be provided in high resolution (≥ 300 dpi) using suitable formats (e.g., PNG, JPG, TIFF, or SVG for vector graphics).
  5. Equations: Equations must be typed using an equation editor, numbered sequentially on the right side of the page, with all symbols defined upon their first use.
  6. Units and Symbols: The International System of Units (SI) must be used. Symbols and abbreviations must be consistent throughout the manuscript.

Eighth: Citations and Reference List

  1. Citation Style: The journal adopts recognized citation styles as specified in the issue's instructions, typically APA (7th Edition) or IEEE.
  2. Reference Formatting: Authors must include DOIs or URLs for accessible references and ensure consistent formatting of the reference list prior to submission.

Ninth: Follow-up and Publication

  1. Revisions: Manuscripts may be returned to authors for substantial or formatting revisions prior to final acceptance.
  2. Copyediting: The journal reserves the right to perform copyediting and layout adjustments without altering the scientific content.
  3. Withdrawal Policy: Authors commit not to withdraw their manuscript during the peer review process unless an official, justified request is submitted and signed by all authors.

Tenth: General Provisions

  1. Disclaimer: Published manuscripts reflect the views and opinions of their authors and do not necessarily represent the views of the journal or the university.
  2. Policy Updates: The journal reserves the right to update these guidelines as necessary, with the effective version published on the official website.
