This study aimed to clarify the impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on the smart transformation of Yemeni universities, considering the mediating role of knowledge management. The research method is correlational, and in terms of its objective, it is an applied study. The statistical population of the research included all presidents and experts of Yemeni universities, with a statistical sample size of 256 individuals selected randomly. As data collection tools, standard questionnaires for ICT and knowledge management were utilized. To measure the various components of organizational intelligence, specific questionnaires for strategic intelligence, emotional intelligence, environmental intelligence, competitive intelligence, organizational intelligence, and structural intelligence were employed. For data analysis, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using a variance-based approach via PLS software was applied. The research results confirmed that the most significant impact is associated with the relationship between knowledge management and smart organization. Furthermore, ICT had a relatively high impact on knowledge management, while it had a moderate impact on smart organization. Moreover, ICT, through the mediation of knowledge management, had a positive and significant impact on smart organization. It is recommended that the presidents of public and private universities in Yemen establish a suitable ICT infrastructure and successfully implement knowledge management to enhance the intelligence of their universities.
